Head Football Coach Position Open

Hilton Head Island High School will soon begin a search for our new Head Football Coach. As our first priority, we will be looking to acceptapplications from certified teachers. At this time, the teaching positions for the 2012-13 school year have yet to be determined. Please check this site periodically for updates and/or changes to this position. We appreciate your interest in our school and our football program.

Boys Cross Country Takes 3rd Straight State Title

Hilton Head High's cross country teams have made a tradition of returning from northeast Columbia with trophies and medals in tow.

The Seahawks won their third consecutive Class 3-A boys state title Saturday morning at the Sandhills Research Center, edging Wade Hampton of Greenville by six points, while the girls team earned its second consecutive runner-up trophy after winning the state championship in 2008 and 2009.

Print out the physical form, or get one from your coach AHEAD OF TIME. Have your parents fill out the first page. Get BOTH signatures on the bottom and then bring the form with you on August 30th.

Date Set for Annual Sports Awards

The Athletic Department will host the annual sports awards for all sports the evening of May 26 beginning at 5:30. We are excited and honored to have Olympic Gold Medalist Jeff Blatnick, as our featured presenter. Jeff won the Olympic Gold in 1984 and has overcome great odds to be with us this evening.

Please make every effort to attend this presentation and watch your student/athlete walk across our stage and be recognized for their accomplishments this past school year. This has been the most successful athletic year to date at Hilton Head Island High School.

GOLF TOURNAMENT/ CASINO NIGHT

The dates are set Saturday February 19th and Sunday the 20th!

Brought to you by the Island Rec Center and The All Sports Boosters.

Please join us for a night of fun and a great day of golf. The casino night will begin at 7:00 at the Westin Hotel. There will be a silent auction, food and dancing. On Sunday we will host our annual golf tournament with a shoot gun start at 10:00 a.m. at the prestigious Ocean Course in Sea Pines Resort.

This will be a great weekend of fun and an opportunity to support two outstanding organizations. Packet pick up for the golf tournament will be at the Westin on Saturday. Bridge Bowl Tickets

Tickets for the HHIHS vs. Bluffton Bridge Bowl will be on sale Friday during lunch in the cafeteria. Ticket price is $6.00. Tickets will be $7.00 at the gate. Buy early and save a dollar!

The Harlem Rockets are coming to town to play the Hilton Head DREAM TEAM. This event will feature Athletic Director Mr. Lew Kent and Principle Mrs O'nan along with Heritage Director Mr.Steve Wilmot, Town Manager Mr Steve Riley, Chamber President Mr. Bill Miles and Beaufort County Sheriff Mr. P.J. Tanner. We look forward to a fine showing from these "former all stars". The event is sponsored by Uniform Work and Sport and is brought to you by the Island Rec Center and the All Sports Booster Club. Come on out and see a great show. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Island Rec 681-7273 or at the door, advanced pricing ($6.00 students, $8.00 adults).

Cross Country Rankings

Hilton Head boys and girls are ranked no. 1 in the South Carolina Track and Cross Country Coaches Association, all classifications poll released this afternoon. Sara Manesiotis and Faith Lifer were ranked 2nd and 6th respectfully in the girls poll. On the boys side, Jack Manesiotis, Jack Felix and Mackenzie Johnston were ranked 4th, 5th and 10th. These rankings include all runners in all divisions.
